Our matcha comes from Tsuyuhikari leaves grown in Shizuoka, Japan, carefully shaded for several weeks before harvest to boost chlorophyll and create its vibrant green color. Picked during the first flush in April, these tender young leaves are steamed to halt oxidation and then stone-ground into a fine powder. Whisked into hot water, it creates a smooth, rich, and invigorating drink with naturally sweet umami and the bright, fresh flavor unique to Shizuoka.
