🍓 Iced Strawberry Matcha — Step-by-Step
Ingredients
- 60 ml hot (not boiling) water
- 4–6 fresh strawberries
- 1–2 tsp sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar)
- Ice
- Milk of choice (oat, dairy, almond, etc.)
Method
1. Prepare the strawberries
Wash the strawberries thoroughly, cut off the green tops, then add them to a blender.
2. Make the strawberry purée
Add the sweetener to the blender and blend until smooth. Set aside.
3. Whisk the matcha
Sift the matcha into a bowl or cup, add the hot water, and whisk until smooth and frothy.
4. Fill your glass
Add a generous amount of ice to a tall glass.
5. Add the strawberry layer
Pour the strawberry purée over the ice, filling the bottom of the glass.
6. Add the milk
Pour in your milk of choice until the glass is about three-quarters full.
7. Finish with matcha
Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk to create a layered effect.
8. Stir & enjoy
Give it a gentle stir and enjoy immediately.
